Green Beans

Phillip and I decided to grow something so we could see a little green amongst all the white and gray of winter. We decided to grow green beans since they are one of our favorite vegetables. We are trying bush beans as well as pole beans. The bush beans are in the front. I am interested to see how many beans we will get. It has been a learning process, and I have enjoyed caring for our "garden."

Brad's Towel ETC.

Phillip's Aunt Debbie made Brad this cute towel. We use it all the time, and I think Brad likes looking at himself in the mirror when he has it around him. Phillip has gotten into this strange habit of blow-drying his entire body after he takes a shower (it's a winter thing, I hope), and he decided Brad would benefit from a full body blow-dry too. Interesting...I thought that's what towels were for.

Cry Baby

I have been dealing with a cry baby lately. His constant crying combined with the slobber, snot, etc. is starting to drive me bonkers. I hope he is teething instead of developing his personality. I'm amazed I got a few pictures of him smiling because I am at the library with a bawling baby right now as I am trying to post this. I am starting to drive the other patrons crazy, so I think I will sign off.

Tired Little Boy

Brad is used to waking up at around 8:00 am in the morning. Because of Phillip's new schedule this semester, I have to take him to campus by 6:45 am. This is often what Brad looks like when we first wake him up. He will fall back asleep against my shoulder for a few minutes if I let him.

All dressed up with no place to go

We don't go outside very much these days because it has been pretty cold. He's all ready to go in this picture minus his mittens. He has a hard time holding his bottle when he wears his mittens.

Almost Crawling

Brad rolls around like crazy, and he is almost crawling. It was pretty fun to watch him move around until I found him sitting in the middle of one of my plants. The plant was completely destroyed with leaves littered all across the living room floor.
This is often how he looks after he does something he shouldn't. His expression seems to say "What? I didn't do anything."

Brad's High Chair

Brad loves eating in his new high chair. It's portable, so we can attach it to the chairs at our kitchen table. I think he likes it so much because he can sit at the table with us during meals. I guess he thinks he's a pretty big boy. He is finally starting to understand how to eat solid foods. I'm grateful.

Christmas Morning

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. Brad wasn't really interested in presents, but he enjoyed trying to eat the bows on the presents given to him. In this picture, Brad is looking at Phillip (not pictured) in bewilderment; Phillip started to cheer for Brad when he reached for the wrapping paper on this gift, and Brad wasn't quite sure what he had done to receive so much praise and attention.

I don't have many pictures from Christmas Day because my camera batteries went dead on Christmas Morning soon after the above picture was taken.

It was so nice to spend time with family, and we are so grateful for the love and support shown to us this holiday season.

Happy New Year!
