We are back on the preschool bandwagon.  Brad will be starting a formal preschool at Linford Elementary on the third of September, but I still want to work with him at home.  I think I will get a lot of good ideas from Brad's preschool teacher which will benefit what I do with him at home and also help Stella in the future.  I will be going at an accelerated rate and using fewer resources and activities because I want to get the packets finished.  I can always add more later.

"H" is for Horse!  Brad had a lot of fun with this.  He wanted to do a lot of free play with the horses I had printed and laminated, so I let him go for it.

 Brad making his stick horse.
Not sure why, but Brad loves doing this with stick horses.
I plan to take Brad outside with his stick horse; I think he needs some "barrels" to run around.

Cute horse craft I saw on Pinterest.  Unfortunately, it was a little too old for Brad to do himself.  However, he did have fun feeding these little horses some apples.

Brad thought the horses needed all twenty apples right away.
Measuring how many "hands" tall the horse is.  Sadly, I didn't even know how to do this until Brad and I read it in one of the horse books.  Apparently, a "hand" is four inches, and a horse's height is measured from its withers to the ground.  You learn something every day when you do preschool.

Phillip decided to build me this cold frame to extend the season of my plants.  I am anxious to see how it works.
We went up to our ward's camp out last night for dinner.  Stella wasn't cooperative with my picture taking efforts-as usual...
Brad was cooperative which shocked me.

Phillip's dad, Mark, passed away on August 15th.  He was only 55.  I have postponed this post because I haven't been sure what to say.  This picture was taken last summer when we lived with Mark and Anne.  Most of what Brad will remember about his Grandpa Davidson will stem from the time we lived with them.  I am so grateful for the opportunity we had to spend time with them last summer.  Mark loved teasing Brad, and he loved getting hugs and kisses from Stella.  Stella won't remember her Grandpa Davidson, but she had a special bond with him.  When Mark was in the hospital in Billings, Stella was so sweet; she patted Mark's hand and gave him kisses on his hands and forehead.  I am glad Stella and Brad knew their grandpa, however briefly, and we will all miss him.

Phillip was in Billings with his dad and family for about nine days.  We missed him at the wedding and around the house last week.  The kids were jumping all over him when he got back.  They wouldn't leave him alone yesterday when he was trying to rest on the floor.

I have included way too many pictures from Mattie's wedding, but it was such a lot of fun.  Here we are waiting outside the temple.

All the cousins from oldest to youngest.  Talen is the oldest on the back row to the right.  Mattie should be to the left of Abby, but we thought she deserved center stage.

Stella was giving people kisses right and left.

The candy table was a huge hit with my kids.

 The kids loved running around.

Our family minus Phillip.  I sure missed having him down here for the wedding.

It was a fun party.
