According to Brad:

"We have 5 rules: 1) Don't chew on toys. 2) Don't chew on books. 3) Don't chew on stuffed animals. 4) Don't put snot on the elephant. 5) Don't put bears in your mouth.  Another rule is that we shouldn't kill each other."

I think preschool is getting to him.  Not sure where the last rule came from.

Phillip's Aunt Carol sent down a really great package for us and the kids.  She got these cute little overalls for Stella.  Stella has never really worn overalls, so she was quite enthralled by them.

She also sent down some cool preschool type games for Brad.  They included opposites puzzles, spelling puzzles, and counting puzzles.

Lots of fun.  Thanks Aunt Carol!

Now that Bradford is gone to school in the mornings, Stella and I have a lot of time to ourselves.  The other day, I asked her if she wanted to do some preschool.  She started shrieking and nodding her head.  Apparently, she has felt that she's been missing out with the preschool stuff.  We got out the geo-board, and she had a great time with the rubber bands.

Phillip was eating some dinner on the ground last night, and Stella decided to join him.  Bradford, Stella, and I were going to be eating dinner at scouts later in the evening, but Stella felt she needed a little snack to tide her over.  She likes to sit really close to people when she's eating.

We jumped ahead to the letter "T" today.  Brad is learning about the letter "T" in preschool, and I decided it would probably be more effective if I reinforced at home what he is learning in school.  I am trying to finish my packets as quickly as possible so I will be prepared for the letters of the week as they come in preschool.

"T" is for turtle, and Brad sure moved like a turtle with this packet.  In the above pictures, I had him tell me the number on each turtle.  He then placed the corresponding number of clothespins on the turtles.  This took him FOREVER!  He was working on his fine motor skills, which is good, but it was a lot harder for him to open and close all the clothespins than I expected.  Not only that, but he had to make sure the clothespins were arranged just so on each turtle.  I struggled with patience today.
 Color matching.

Turtle graphing.  This also took a very long time.  Brad wanted to make sure each square was colored to his liking before moving on to the next graph.  With this activity, he counted the turtles on each page before coloring in the corresponding number of squares.
 Matching capital and lowercase "Ts."
We did a lot with numbers today.  Brad has become a good little counter, and he is pretty good at recognizing numbers 1-10.

I found this "L" is for ladybug packet online.  I think it is just too cute.  Brad had a lot of fun with it.

We started "K" is for kite today.
I don't think I have been emphasizing writing enough, so I am attempting to remedy that in some of the packets I have made lately.

Brad had fun.
