Halloween 2014

Happy Halloween.  We had a great day today.  Bradford dressed up as a Knight/Prince Phillip from Sleeping Beauty.  He was very excited about his costume especially the sword.

Stella dressed up as an evil queen/Maleficent.  She loved, loved, loved her scepter.  Mostly because she was able to sword fight Bradford.
Stella really stole the show with her costume.  I thought everyone would rave about Brad's Knight costume, and they did, but they really went on and on about Stella.  She kept telling everyone she was a princess, and when someone told her she looked really scary, she started laughing and said "No I don't--" like, that's the silliest thing I've heard all day.
Bronson was a dragon.  He didn't love his hat, but he seemed okay with the rest of the costume, and I think it kept him decently warm.  He is our happy baby.
All the kids.  Of course Brad is trying to sever Bronson's head.  Or maybe knight him???  Correction...I just read that to Brad, and he informed me that he was trying to make sure Bronson left on his hat for the picture.
Getting some sword/scepter action in before the trunk-or-treat started at the stake center.
 Waiting patiently.
We ran into Olaf at the event.
 Bradford at his preschool parade.
A friend and I have kids in preschool together.  We made this photo backdrop so that the preschool teachers could take pictures of the kids in their costumes.
Stella was a little pumpkin today.  Thanks Anne.
Bradford and I made a tiny jack-o-lantern this afternoon.  Brad put a glow stick in it, and he couldn't wait for dark.  Unfortunately, the neighbors had their porch light on, so Brad couldn't see the pumpkin glowing.  He was quite perturbed by this, and I think he would have knocked on the neighbor's door and asked them to turn off their light if I hadn't stopped him.  Happy Halloween!

Newsworthy: the Egg with Two Yolks

We had hard boiled eggs as part of our dinner/salad tonight.  I opened this egg up for Bronson to eat and was shocked to see two egg yolks in it.  We were so amazed we found it necessary to show Ross and Hannah, and I am now blogging about it.  Pretty sad, I know.  Has anyone else seen this before?  I figure it has to be pretty rare.

We went to Alanna and Parker's wedding last weekend.  Someone took this picture of Stella and Alanna outside of the temple.  I thought it was cute.
The night before the wedding, we perused Toys "R" Us.  For the first ten minutes while we were in the store, Bronson kept looking around and squealing with delight in his inhaling air while making noise type of way.  He thought he looked pretty good in this car.
 Bradford at the wedding reception.

I was sad the lighting was bad with this one. And everyone is fuzzy not to mention Bronson's socks that don't match his outfit and his missing shoe.  Who IS his mother?

It is crazy to think Bronson is almost a year.  He is getting so big and starting to interact with the other kids.  He wants to play with them and do what they are doing.  They are having a little bit of a hard time adjusting to a third competitor for toys.

Family Pictures

We had our family pictures taken last week.  It was very windy and very cold.  I am amazed she got any decent pictures because hair was being blown in every direction and noses were decidedly red and runny.

This picture cracked me up.  Stella was not getting the concept of walking in a straight line.  She kept running ahead, and Bradford was trying his hardest to keep her in line.

Foot Stool

I bought an unfinished foot stool at Hobby Lobby.  I stained and painted it, and I think am pleased with the finished product.

The oranges on my dwarf tree are really starting to grow.
Bradford has been obsessed with drawing ever since I recovered that little desk.  He is starting to draw a lot of different things, and it's exciting because I can actually kind of tell what he's trying to draw.  We watched The Lion King the other night; here is Brad's recreation of Simba.
I have been making a few cards lately.  Nothing too spectacular, but it has been fun.

Snowy Range

We went on an adventure last weekend.  Phillip and the kids did some fishing, and we also enjoyed a nice hike.  It was quite beautiful.  Unfortunately, my phone went dead, so I wasn't able to take very many pictures.
I thought this was a neat reflection.  The water was so smooth and nice.
