Trip to Burlington and Back

We traveled up to Burlington last weekend to hear Janet report on her mission.  She did a great job.  The kids were very excited to see her.
She brought back these shirts for the boys.
I thought this was a cute picture.
First dip into Grandma's pool this summer!

Water District Garden

Mattie works for the water district here in St. George.  Yesterday, the water district opened a new garden featuring native species.  The garden has a ton of water features, faux rock that echos the surrounding red rock landscape, native plants, and native fish.

The kids were disappointed they didn't see any fish.
Bradford loved getting his photo taken.

Thanks for showing us around Mattie!  I can't wait to go back when the plants and trees have filled in a little more.

I helped my mom put together a wedding last weekend.  It was fun to see the finished product.  I think my mom was pleased with how things turned out.  Here are a few pics from the event.

It's Another...

We are having another boy.  Stella was a little devastated when I told her the gender.  When she first found out we were having a baby, she decided she "wanted a pink one."  She has been telling everyone we are having a baby girl.  Yesterday, my dad asked her what she would think if the baby was a boy.  She told him the baby was not a boy and that she just knew the baby was going to be a girl.  At least she has four and a half months to get used to the idea :)

Mother's Day

We had a great Mother's Day here.  Bradford was very excited to get some gifts bagged for my mom and me.  He made cards for us, gave each of us a few Swedish Fish from my Dad's birthday stash, and re-gifted my mom's finger puppets to us.  It was pretty funny.
The moms of the primary kids were invited to attend primary for the last twenty minutes during closing exercises.  The kids introduced their moms to everyone else and sang songs to us.  They played two truths and a lie with the above cards that all the kids made about their mom.  After it was all over, the kids served us quite a display of treats.  It was a lot of fun.  It was pretty funny to hear what all the kids had to say about their moms.

St. George Happenings

We have been loving our time here in St. George.  We took the kids to the Livestock Show last weekend.  They thought it was great.  It was fun to see them run around and play like I used to when I participated in the show.

Bronson has loved getting pushed around in the wagon.

Bronson has loved the freedom he has had to be outside and exploring.  He hasn't had any health problems since we moved, so I am grateful for that.
I started planting a few things as soon as we got here, of course.
Bradford has loved finding snails for Grandma.

A few days ago, we ate lunch with Mattie by the pond near her apartment.  The kids had fun feeding the ducks.

Brad and Stella had fun watching the older cousins work on some boats a few afternoons ago.  They had big plans to have a battle in Aunt Jill's jacuzzi.  That didn't fly, which is a good thing since some of them were paper and made a bit of a mess.  Instead, they used my mom's wading pool for their battle.

We celebrated Mattie's and my dad's birthday on Sunday.

My dad put the reading glasses we gave him right on after he opened them.  Gotta love it.

Who's going to blow first?
